Dr. Alexandra Campbell, CRNA, APRN is a first- generation college graduate with over 18 years in the healthcare field. An Afro-Latina with roots in Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic and Curaçao, she can speak up to 4 languages.
Starting out as an Associate's nurse in a Level 1 Neuroscience ICU, she pushed her way through her Master's of Science in Nurse Anesthesia with minimal guidance and struggles through the program. She excelled in the program and became one of the only new graduate civilians hired at a VA facility in over 10 years.
Dr. Campbell obtained all 3 of her degrees, including her doctorate from the University of South Florida. She continues to help increase diversity in the Nurse Anesthesia pfofession by mentioning countless undergraduates, nursing students and RRNAs.
She is also a member of the Peer Review and Resume committee for the Diversity in Nurse Anesthesia Mentorship Program and mentors for the LEAP program at Case Western University. Dr. Campbell is one of the founding committee members for MCC.
