A career dedicated to excellence in clinical practice, teaching, service, and leadership includes helping establish a Nurse Anesthesia program at Georgetown University, serving as clinical faculty and past President of the Virginia Association of Nurse Anesthetists. She is AANA Vice-Chair of the LIC, served on Bylaws and Resolutions Committee, Chair of the Resolutions Committee, and the inaugural Ascend CRNA Program.

Dr. Branch holds a Doctorate of Nursing Practice in Anesthesia Leadership from Quinnipiac University (2020), a Master of Science from Georgetown University (2002), a Diploma of Anesthesia from Charlotte Memorial Hospital School of Nurse Anesthesia (1986), and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The Florida State University (1979). A member of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) since 1984,

Myra has served as Resolutions Chair for the AANA (2020-2021) and has held various leadership roles within the Virginia Association of Nurse Anesthetists (VANA), including Immediate Past President (2019-2020), President (2018-2019), President-elect (2017-2018), and District 2 Director (2013-2017). Additionally, Myna has been involved in several VANA committees, including Governmental Relations, PAC Fundraising, Strategic Planning, and the Nominating and Public Relations Committee.

Beyond professional associations, Myra has demonstrated leadership as Programs Chair for the Loudoun County (VA) Chapter of The Links Incorporated and as Secretary for the Equitable and Charitable Foundation for the Lambda Kappa Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. (2018-2020). Myra has also contributed to the community by serving on panels at various professional, community service, and career fair events and mentoring student registered nurse anesthetists (SRNAs) and registered nurses (RNs) interested in pursuing a career as a CRNA.

Currently, Myra is a Staff Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) with NAPA at Inova Fairfax Hospital Medical Campus in Falls Church, VA, a Level One Trauma Center and the flagship hospital of the Inova Health System in Northern Virginia. Since 1986, [Name] has been a key member of the overnight in-house trauma team, administering anesthesia to critically ill patients undergoing emergency surgical, organ transplantation, and diagnostic procedures.
